HealthyPlan.City is a user-friendly, free web mapping tool designed to help planners, public health professionals, and policymakers identify environmental inequities in over 125 Canadian cities. Initially funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada, the tool uses nationally standardized environmental and demographic data from the Canadian Census to map out neighborhoods where vulnerable populations, such as low-income groups, children, and older adults, face greater health risks due to worse environmental conditions. By highlighting these areas, HealthyPlan.City guides targeted interventions to improve local environments, promote public health, and enhance climate resilience.
