The tool leverages nationally standardized environmental data and demographic data from the Canadian Census to map out neighbourhoods where relatively higher proportions of vulnerable populations experience worse environmental conditions. A preliminary version of the tool focussing on heat islands and tree canopy cover was made publicly available in summer 2022. This release of the tool includes multiple improvements such as:<\/div>\n<ul class=\"p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet\" data-stringify-type=\"unordered-list\" data-indent=\"0\" data-border=\"0\">\n<li data-stringify-indent=\"0\" data-stringify-border=\"0\">Eight additional vulnerable population indicators from the 2021 Canadian Census<\/li>\n<li data-stringify-indent=\"0\" data-stringify-border=\"0\">Ten additional built environment indicators such as air pollution, proximity to parks, proximity to transit stops, and flood susceptibility<\/li>\n<li data-stringify-indent=\"0\" data-stringify-border=\"0\">An improved user interface; and<\/li>\n<li data-stringify-indent=\"0\" data-stringify-border=\"0\">New data visualization functionalities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"p-rich_text_section\">In this webinar, HealthyPlan.City co-directors\u00a0<b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">Jeff Brook<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b data-stringify-type=\"bold\">Dany Doiron<\/b>\u00a0will provide an overview of the data and functionalities included in the new version of the HealthyPlan.City tool.
