permettent aux personnes qui y habitent de \u00ab\u2009vivre\u2009\u00bb leur secteur. Ils y combinent leur lieu d\u2019emploi, de loisirs, d\u2019\u00e9tudes, de boutiques de d\u00e9tail, de march\u00e9s d\u2019aliments frais et sains, tous accessibles en v\u00e9lo, \u00e0 pied et par les transports en commun.<\/p><p>Lorsque les am\u00e9nagements collectifs sont \u00e0 quelques pas de la population, ils favorisent l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique, les interactions communautaires et les liens sociaux. Certaines villes cherchent \u00e0 atteindre l\u2019objectif de la \u00ab\u2009ville 15\u00a0minutes\u2009\u00bb<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnu.org\/publicsquare\/2021\/02\/08\/defining-15-minute-city\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a>, qui vise \u00e0 donner acc\u00e8s \u00e0 tout ce dont les r\u00e9sidentes et r\u00e9sidents ont besoin \u00e0 15\u00a0minutes de chez eux. Chez les banlieusards qui travaillent au centre-ville, de longs trajets en autobus ou en voiture sont souvent la seule solution<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/1-s2.0-S135382921300172X-main.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/a>. Les d\u00e9placements au travail sont reli\u00e9s depuis longtemps au stress individuel et \u00e0 la sant\u00e9<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/01441647.2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>3<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p><p>Plus le trajet est long, plus le risque de r\u00e9sultats ind\u00e9sirables sur la sant\u00e9 physique et mentale est \u00e9lev\u00e9. De longs d\u00e9placements au travail sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 de la fatigue, \u00e0 une mauvaise qualit\u00e9 de sommeil, aux maladies cardiaques<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/01441647.2019.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>4<\/sup><\/a>, \u00e0 l\u2019hypertension, \u00e0 l\u2019ob\u00e9sit\u00e9 et \u00e0 un plus grand nombre de cong\u00e9s de maladie<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Highway-to-health-Commute-time-and-well-being-among-Canadian-adults.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>5<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p><p>En plus de la distance et du temps de d\u00e9placement, le mode de transport a \u00e9galement des cons\u00e9quences sur la sant\u00e9. L\u2019impr\u00e9visibilit\u00e9 des d\u00e9placements et le comportement des autres conducteurs accroissent \u00e9galement le niveau de stress des travailleurs<a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1002\/hec.1389\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>8<\/sup><\/a>. Il est d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les individus qui marchent<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/1479-5868-11-37.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>9<\/sup><\/a>, font du v\u00e9lo<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/26228005\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>10<\/sup><\/a> ou utilisent les transports en commun<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/PIIS0749379710002977.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>11<\/sup><\/a> font plus d\u2019activit\u00e9 physique que les conducteurs d\u2019automobiles.<\/p><p>Des am\u00e9nagements mixtes dans un quartier donn\u00e9 contribuent \u00e0 promouvoir la vie sociale, car ils attirent des personnes de tout \u00e2ge, cr\u00e9ent des occasions d\u2019interactions informelles et impr\u00e9vues avec d\u2019autres membres du quartier et fournissent des lieux et des espaces pour se r\u00e9unir, rencontrer des amis et des membres de la famille et participer \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s sociales. Les avantages sur le plan social peuvent se r\u00e9v\u00e9ler particuli\u00e8rement importants pour les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es, parce que celles qui vivent dans des quartiers moins am\u00e9nag\u00e9s au moins bon potentiel pi\u00e9tonnier sont plus enclines \u00e0 rester \u00e0 la maison<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/The-Role-of-the-Built-Environment-in-Healthy-Aging-Community-Design-Physical-Activity-and-Health-amon.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>12<\/sup><\/a> et d\u2019ainsi accro\u00eetre leur risque d\u2019isolement social.<\/p><p>Les quartiers au bon potentiel pi\u00e9tonnier qui disposent de divers am\u00e9nagements \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 procurent \u00e9galement une meilleure satisfaction de milieu de vie<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Compact-Walkable-Diverse-Neighborhoods-Assessing-Effects-on-Residents.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>13<\/sup><\/a>, un plus grand sentiment d\u2019appartenance, de bien-\u00eatre et contribuent \u00e0 une meilleure sant\u00e9 mentale, car ils favorisent les interactions sociales.<\/p><p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9nagement de quartiers qui r\u00e9pondent aux besoins communautaires quotidiens ou hebdomadaires \u00e0 distance de marche ou de v\u00e9lo, tels que faire ses courses et rencontrer ses amis et sa famille, le nombre de voitures sur les routes diminue, les \u00e9missions s\u2019att\u00e9nuent et la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019air s\u2019am\u00e9liore dans les villes<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/2399808317705880.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>14<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p><p>Tous ces changements, soit l\u2019augmentation de l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique, l\u2019enrichissement des relations sociales et l\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019air se traduisent par une diminution du fardeau des maladies chroniques, y compris les maladies cardiovasculaires, le diab\u00e8te et les maladies respiratoires.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-358d285 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"358d285\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1512062 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1512062\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Qui est touch\u00e9?<\/h2><p>Une forte proportion de Canadiennes et de Canadiens n\u2019habite pas dans des quartiers propices au transport actif. En 2011<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/fast-facts-faits-rapidesV2-eng.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>15<\/sup><\/a>, 62\u00a0% d\u2019entre eux affirmaient que des magasins se trouvaient \u00e0 distance de marche de chez eux; 72\u00a0% disposaient d\u2019un arr\u00eat d\u2019autobus \u00e0 moins de 15\u00a0minutes de marche et 70\u00a0% d\u00e9claraient vivre dans un quartier attrayant. Ainsi, bon nombre de Canadiennes et de Canadiens habitent dans des quartiers n\u2019encourageant ni ne permettant le transport actif, ce qui les oblige \u00e0 se d\u00e9placer en voiture.<\/p><p>Les quartiers urbains peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9savantag\u00e9s si les transports en commun n\u2019offrent pas un acc\u00e8s suffisant aux destinations, telles que les lieux d\u2019emploi. Un mauvais acc\u00e8s aux transports en commun, combin\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u2019autres formes de d\u00e9savantages sociaux et \u00e9conomiques, peut \u00eatre responsable de pauvret\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de transport. Dans les huit plus grandes villes du Canada, 40\u00a0% de tous les habitants \u00e0 faible revenu, soit 5\u00a0% de la population globale et un total de pr\u00e8s d\u2019un million de personnes<a href=\"https:\/\/healthydesign.city\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/1-s2.0-S0967070X18304736-main.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>16<\/sup><\/a>, sont \u00e0 risque de pauvret\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de transport.<\/p><p>Par ailleurs, ce sont les personnes les plus vuln\u00e9rables de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qui ont le plus \u00e0 gagner<a href=\"https:\/\/planh.ca\/take-action\/healthy-environments\/built-environments\/page\/active-transportation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><sup>17<\/sup><\/a> des quartiers favorables au transport actif. Ces groupes sont \u00e9galement les plus susceptibles de profiter le plus de l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des possibilit\u00e9s de loisirs ext\u00e9rieurs, mais ont tendance \u00e0 ne pas vivre pr\u00e8s des parcs.
